Our people are the heart of Amodal. We bring together deep technical expertise, sector knowledge, and a shared belief in doing things properly. From strategic advisors and data engineers to project information managers, our team blends consultancy rigour with a can-do attitude and real-world experience.
The leadership team
Our industry experienced directors bring many years of expertise from working across the built environment, from muddy boots roles, to software and tech, and running complex capital projects and digital estate initiatives. With a proven ability to lead strategic transformations, and deliver information management solutions, we make the complex clear and always aim to drive measurable outcomes for our clients.
Wes is Executive Chair at Amodal, providing strategic leadership, governance and board-level oversight. With more than 40 years’ experience scaling software and services businesses in construction and infrastructure, including senior roles at Sage, Bentley Systems, GroupBC and Open ECX, he supports the executive team in accelerating sustainable growth and strengthening Amodal’s market position.
Wes Simmons
Executive Chairman
As CEO at Amodal, Stuart leads the company’s professional services and digital platform strategy. With over 25 years’ experience across consultancy, construction & IM software and business growth, he supports clients in delivering consistent, trusted information management aligned to ISO 19650 and regulatory requirements. Stuart is also active in supporting industry advocacy (wearenima.im) and advancing the digital transformation and role of information management across the built environment.
Stuart regularly volunteers for various charities and organisations, in particular raising funds for St Basil’s in Birmingham and Brainkind.
Stuart Bell
Chief Executive Officer
Tom is a founder of Amodal and specialises in structured, standards-led information management across the built environment. Beginning his career as a civil engineer with a tier-one contractor, he has held roles spanning design, construction, digital engineering and strategy. Tom established Amodal to help contractors, asset owners and developers improve project outcomes through clear, practical information management.
In his spare time, Tom runs ultra-marathons and undertakes epic challenges, raising significant funds for charities that are dear to him.
Thomas Whiting
Director, Co-Founder
Mike brings a rare dual perspective, having led transformation programmes for both major asset owners and main contractors. With over 15 years’ experience delivering large-scale change across construction and property management, he has overseen complex system integrations, data migrations and organisational change.
Trained originally as a mechanical engineer, he loves cycling, his twin engine ProKart and his 1977 VW CamperVan!
Michael Barber
Director, Co-Founder
With 20 years’ experience delivering information management projects, Matt understands that clients’ biggest challenges lay in adoption. Matt is passionate about identifying solutions to customers’ needs, as well as being a great mentor to different members of a team.
Matt is a big sports fan and still enjoys kicking a ball around with his boys. Living by the sea, the family also love to paddle board and swim.

With over a decade in business development, including leading the Sales team at Asite, Jacq’s focus at Amodal is on helping organisations make sense of their information and use digital tools to work smarter – improving efficiency, collaboration and overall project outcomes along the way.
After studying at University College Cork, Jacq spent a year living in Paris, before moving to London.
