Spotlight on our Associate Director

I’m an associate director here at Amodal. I’ve been here since March 2025. Prior to that, I’ve got a long background, about 10 years or so in software development as well as a degree in civil engineering, so very much enjoying my time here. Kind of fusing both of those backgrounds of both construction and IT.

What industry experience do you have?

Prior to joining Amodal, I spent six years at Asite, a CDE vendor, working across their consultancy product and development teams. Prior to that I was actually in industry itself, following university. I went on site, worked as a site engineer for a short period of time for a number of local consultancies and contractors down in Sussex. On the side part time, that’s where my IT comes into play, working for small software developers on projects for Expedia, Microsoft and Amazon.

What’s your role then at Amodal?

At Amodal, I sit across both the Delivery and Product functions. Under Delivery I support Matt and the team to provide consultative services, working among a number of customers on their CDE needs, with a specialism within Asite.
Then with the Products I work with Mike and Rachel and the wider team to drive the vision of where endev-o should be going forward, finding what the industry is asking for and developing how the product should evolve to match that.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What do I enjoy most about my job as associate director? It’s the diversity of work I do because I sit across both delivery and product. No two days are the same. I could be consulting in the morning, writing product specifications in the afternoon, and then the next day be at a conference or being able to speak for different areas. So it’s very exciting.

What do you enjoy most about working at Amodal?

A cop out answer, but it very much is the people I work with. It’s a real pleasure to work with such an engaged, intelligent, tight knit team that really are all working together to make a change within the construction industry and within the information management area.

What are you most proud of?

One thing I’m particularly proud of is I am an army reservist, as it’s a pleasure to be able to do my bitsand serve my country, but in turn be able to bring skills that I’ve learnt from that environment, around team management and leadership and development into my Amodal life, and then also take skill sets I’ve learned in Amodal around technology and construction and be able to impart that within my military career, so they really do benefit from each other and I’m very proud to do both.
